ISLAMABAD, Dec 16 (APP): The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony on Monday announced the closure of Hajj application submissions.
According to the ministry’s spokesperson Muhammad Umar Butt, Tuesday, December 17, will be the last day for submitting Hajj applications at designated banks.
He said all applications received by December 17 will be considered successful on a ‘first-come, first-served’ basis. He also informed that the second installment of Hajj dues can be deposited in designated banks from December 19 to 27.
Umar Butt advised the prospective pilgrims to download the ‘Pak Hajj’ mobile application on their smartphones for immediate guidance and updates regarding Hajj arrangements.
Meanwhile, he said, designated banks have been directed to upload all received applications on the ministry’;s online portal by 9:00 AM on December 17. He made it clear that the ministry will not be responsible for incomplete applications due to delays in the uploading process.
Umar Butt mentioned that after the second installment of Hajj dues is collected, an announcement may be made for inviting applications for the remaining seats, which will be open for a limited period.
